When I saw the news story on this I fell out of my chair!  I have been beating the drum for Sarah Palin since she emerged as McCain's running mate last year.  I am completely dumbfounded as to why she would resign with less than one term under her belt.  If she was truly interested in making a run for the White House in 2012 she should have at least stayed on for one full term.  I think this may be taken as a lack of committment to high office.  Oh, how I hope she has some type of game plan in place that will keep her in the thick of things.  She can make a difference in America.  She is a breath of fresh air and I hope she doesn't go away.  Say it aint so Sarah!!!

It has been a while since I have posted a blog.  This is due to being in complete shock at what has transpired in our nation over the last 60 days.  Since the swearing in of the Messiah Government has indeed begun to "change"!  Obama said he would bring change and it is change we are getting.  I hope all of the sheep who voted for O are happy.  Today we see that a President of the US now has the authority to tell a private sector CEO to hit the road.  By accepting federal bailout money GM and Chrysler have allowed the government to tell them what to do.  In a free society government does not have control over private sector activity.  We are not living in a free society anymore.  Whoever believes that the government and Mr. O will be able to run a car manufacturer better that a car man is out of their minds.  The government doesn't know how to do anything right and we are giving the government unwielding authority to run more and more segments of the private sector every day!!  I fear the end is near.  We are going down the road of the USSR and are now essentially nothing different.  Rights and freedoms are disappearing daily.  I give huge credit to Ford for not accepting federal bailout funds.  I believe that Ford will rise as the auto manufacturer of choice in the USA since they are currently outside of the grasp of Obama's control for now.  GM will be forced to produce "green" cars that no one wants.  If they produce vehicles that nobody wants they will continue to be unprofitable and our tax dollars will be stolen to prop up this government run company.  Ford will be standing alone and will produce the cars that Americans want such as trucks and SUV's.  Stay the course Ford!

With soaring and patriotic rhetoric Barrack Hussein Obama has promised America that a new and better day is ahead.  Although there were veiled references to socialist programs and big government Obama's message was devoid of any significant substance as to how he will lead.  Remember that since his victory in November BHO has attempted to scale back the expectations for his first term.  People are looking to him as a Messiah figure who can solve all problems.  BHO relaizes that he can not meet these expectations and has tried to downplay the fervor and excitement of the radical left by speaking in a surprisingly centrist type of manner.  Let us all be vigilant over the next four years.  We who are watching know the true character of this man.  We know where he draws his strength.  We know to whom he looks for counsel.  We must not be fooled by the rhetoric and charisma.  This man is a radical with a radical agenda.  Stand firm, hold true to your beliefs, protect your families, and maintain faith in God.

 

I know you are in a precarious position concerning the auto bail outs. Your constituency is largely made up of auto workers. I am a Michigan resident and am not an auto worker. In fact I am in the insurance industry and am about to lose my job. Who is going to bail me out? The point is I do not want a bail out and I am totally against a bail out for the auto industry. Congress is putting a band aid on a deeper problem and growing government bureaucracy at the same time. Once we create a car czar we will always have a car czar because nothing the federal gov't creates is ever disbanded. Why are Congressional leaders saying bankruptcy is not an option for the Big 3? Bankruptcy is designed to let companies restructure and emerge leaner. Bankruptcy is the correct solution and should be the only solution to the problem. By bailing out the auto companies we are prolonging the inevitable. And this is all at the expense of the taxpayer!! We can not afford this!!! Why do UAW workers deserve federal bail outs while other non union American workers suffer? No one should be bailed out. The markets need to correct themselves. America is heading toward socialism like a freight train and this is most alarming! The federal government should not be in the business of running private industry. The fed government cant even manage its own check book! Russia ran industry and we all knew they were a communist country. I don't want that for my children and grandchildren.

I watched South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford give an interview on Fox the other day and was intrigued by his obvious lack of enthusiasm for Sarah Palin when asked about rising stars in the Republican Party.  Here is a guy who is challenging to be top dawg in the party and admittedly has a bright future.  He was asked about upa dn coming stars and mentioned Jindal, Pawlenty, and surprisingly Mitch Daniels in Indiana.  He did not even mention the former VP running mate and the part's most visible star as a player in the much needed rebirth of the party.  My question is how can someone not admit that Palin is a bright star and source of hope for the party?  I think this is a clear example of what is wrong with the party.  There is too much fighting and backstabbing. It's as if folks like Sanford are vying to be the captain of a sinking ship.  Here's a bit of advice to all you Republican "leaders" out there--  You need to unite or the party is doomed for the trash heap of history.  Man up and acknowledge that Sarah Palin represents what main stream conservative Americans value most- honesty, integrity, gritty determination, and a willingness to fight for the people.  The various factions of the party are ripping it apart in search of their own personal glory and power.  This is detrimental to the party as a whole and when all is said and done they won't have a party to control if they don't come together and unite! 

Wow! A lot can change in a week.  Since the election Sarah Palin has gone from media whipping post to media darling.  We saw her on every network prior to the election and she was ridiculed and lambasted.  One week after the election and she is still everywhere but now she is being kindly treated.  What gives?  I believe that since Obama has been elected Palin is not viewed as a threat anymore by the mainstream media.  At least she is not viewed as a threat until the campaigning for 2012 really ramps up.  This is good for the Gov.  She will now be able to get her side of the story out into the public and people will have a better chance to learn who she really is.  I heard on the radio that she may be appearing on Desperate housewives next spring.  Go Sarah!  This exposure is good for her as long as it remains positive.  Play the game governor and get your message out.  You have a bright future ahead.

There will be no more opportunity for President elect BHO to vote present.  The eyes of the nation and the world are upon us.  Let's just see if the new pres can walk the walk.  We have heard all the soaring rhetoric now let's see how the new man does when faced with real challenges and real decisions.  Remember Obama has never produced any substantive body of work in his entire life.  For the life of me I cannot believe that America has just elected someone with the radical ideologies that this guy possesses.  On the other hand I can believe it.  Three decades of socialist indoctrination has paid off.  The majority of Americans have just sold out to their own government and have become slaves to the system. Let's just see how happy all of you are when Barack fails to deliver on all of his promises to the poor and downtrodden.  The government is supposed to serve the people.  Now we will all learn that the people now serve the government.  Barack is the master and we will become the slaves.  I for one am not going to sell myself down the river!  Remain independent and true to yourself and country.  We will live to fight another day.  If we can survive 4 years I sense another Reagan type revolution.  Barack and co. will run the country in to the ground and then people will once again be ready for "change".

I just read an article on Yahoo about the "Religious Left" mobilizing in Ohio.  Can someone tell me what the religious left is?  They use terms like "main line protestants" and "progressive religious leaders".  In the article John Green, an expert on religion and politics at Akron University, says that he wouldn't be surprised if Obama wins a majority of white Catholic voters in Ohio.  Have I been hit in the head by a hammer here!  What is a mainline protestant or a progressive religious person?  If you have received salvation in Christ how can you vote for a candidate who supports all forms of abortion, gay marriage, etc.?  It's that simple to me.  How so many Christians including Protestants and Catholics have lost their moral commpass is beyond me.  How can anyone who is devoted to scripture and Jesus align themselves with the left and their immoral and secular beliefs?  Wake up people!

My wife was watching Good Morning America this morning and I stumbled into the living room when they were interviewing John Mellencamp.  I have always liked Mellencamp's tunes but I am disgusted by his politics.  Of course he had a platform this morning to espouse his liberal views.  He even said that America is not a good country anymore.  I am frankly sick and tired of hearing artists and actors telling us how we should think!  Who annointed them political experts?  When you go to a concert these days you know you're going to have to sit through a stump speech for some liberal cause or candidate.  I have one request for Mellencamp, Springstein, Streisand and the Hollywood crowd---  shut up and sing! 

Joe the Plumber hit the nail on the head with his pointed question to Obama.  There are a lot of Joe the Plumbers across this great nation and we don't want the wealth to be spread around at any cost.  Sure I could use some handouts but that is not the way I was raised.  Obam's statement of spreading the wealth around is socialism pure and simple.  Heck, I am a hard working guy supporting a family of 4 on one income.  The wife and I are trying to live the American dream within our means.  That is a principle too many Americans have forgotten.  Everyone wants to have the material things that the guy down the street has.  Greed and envy are powerful weapons that the liberals in Washington have harnessed.  Obama's message is class welfare pure and simple.  He is heding his bet with "95%" of Americans that they would rather knock down their boss or their successful neighbor and take a government handout instead of picking themselves up by the bootstraps and tyring to succeed in this great nation.  We all know that half of his "95%" don't pay taxes anyway so their "taxcut" would actually be a welfare payment.  America is a land of opportunity for all citizens.  If Obama will penalize success what is the motivation to be successful?  Without successful people providing jobs for others what will happen to our economy.  No successful nation has ever had an economy fueled from the bottom up.
